If this area then stays clean, plate exposure or processing needs to be altered. Consult your plate supplier.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Poor form roller settings.<\/td>\n<td>Check rollers and re-set to manufacturer\u2019s specs<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Form rollers oscillating on the plate.<\/td>\n<td>Lock or shim rollers so that they do not move sideways.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Fountain solution not keeping background of the plate clean.<\/td>\n<td>Check the pH and conductivity, flush and clean the circulation system and mix new fountain solution. Assure that proper amount of alcohol or alcohol substitute is being used.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Hickey removal system (Vario or Delta) being used.<\/td>\n<td>This always runs a little dirtier due to the speed reduction of the dampening form roller on the plate.
